Mrs. Jessie R. “Jay” (Kaminski) Maker, age 83, of Lynnfield Street, Lynn, died Thursday at Union Hospital, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Roy Maker.
Born and raised in Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Tekla (Kowalski) Kaminski. Prior to moving to Lynn, 40 years ago she had lived in Detroit.
She worked for many years as a waitress at both the Hilltop Steakhouse and the Continental Restaurants in Saugus.
She enjoyed Dining out, gardening, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by 1 son; Richard Maker and his wife Joanne, of Peabody, 2 daughters; Christie Ness, of Lynn and Cynthia Bibb, of Kansas, 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Roy Maker, and the sister of the late Stephen Kaminski, Edward Kaminski, and Stella Kaminski.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday at 9:30am from the Solimine Landergan & Richardson Funeral Home 426 Broadway (RTE129) Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am in St. Pius V Church Lynn. Following cremation, burial will be at a later date. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8pm.
