The Wall That Heals traveled to Massachusetts from Rochester, New York on Tuesday August 25. A Massachusetts State Police Escort met the Wall at the New York border and escorted it to Lynn. The Patriot Guard Riders as well as Rolling Thunder and others joined in escorting the Wall from Sturbridge to Fraser Field in Lynn. The motorcade left Sturbridge at 1:00 p.m. and followed Rt. 90 (Mass Pike) to Rt. 95/128 north. It exited Rt. 95/128 at exit 44B for Rt. 129 east and arrived at the Lynn Line at 2:15 p.m. The motorcade route in Lynn was lined by hunderds of people proudly waving the American Flag. The Lynn Police provided escorts and the Lynn Fire Department hoisted an oversize American flag over Broadway, suspended from two ladder trucks.
